Yah or Nay of the Day: American Grindhouse (2010)

Written by: Root Rot

Yah or Nay of the Day goes like this… I tell you if I did or didn’t like a movie I’ve recently watched and why ..  I guess you could call them mini reviews.

American Grindhouse (2010)

Directed by: Elijah Drenner

Genera: Documentary

Plot

Narrated by Robert Forster and feathering interviews with some of cult films biggest names; American Grindhouse gives the viewers an in depth look into the history of American cult films.

Verdict

I gives this a big fucking Yah, and here’s why…

I liked the way American Grindhouse covered all the sub genera’s of cult films starting from the birth of the American motion picture. Also, I enjoyed the interviews with John Landis, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Ted V. Mikels, Jack Hill and Fred Williamson. Best of all the documentary reminded me of films I’d forgotten about and introduced me to ones I’ve never heard of.

American Grindhouse is  a must see documentary even if you’re not a fan of cult, mondo, horror, or exploitation films.
