On September 30th, 2011, the new horror comedy Tucker & Dale vs Evil will make it’s limited release in theaters in the US. The movie centers around two backwoods boys that take down preppy suburbanites with a chain saw.
I’ve read tidbits referencing Tucker & Dale as the slasher genre’s Shawn of the Dead. The UK’s 2004 zomcom Shawn of the Dead, set the bar very high considering very few horror comedies are actually funny or well received by audiences. From what I’ve seen and read, Tucker & Dale vs Evil may be a horror comedy worth seeing.

I really enjoyed Tucker and Dale. I would not put it up there with Shaun, but is was funny as hell.
I’ll check it out when it comes out on DVD.
