Andy Whitfield of the Starz Series Spartacus Dies at 39

Andy Whitfield, the actor who played Spartacus in the hit Starz TV series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”, died of cancer on Sunday (September 11, 2011). Whitfield was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in May 2010 and forced to leave “Spartacus” later that year.
